trying to add my five pound weight loss to this post….

I confess that my first week I did not do the inspirational reading I planned to do, to help me stay focused on my goal….I gained somewhere between three to five pounds I suppose, I don’t know for sure because I was not brave enough to step on the scale…. Well, after a week of buffalo wings and hamburgers I ‘came to myself’ and have had new a week of homemade greek salads, nine grain bread, soy chicken patties, avocado and fresh fruit….oh yea, only water or homemade lemonade to drink…. (oh yea, raisons, pistachios or vanilla wafers to snack on) Lost five pound this past week and I feel pretty good…. Did a little dancing and housework for exercise…. I’m going to work toward the same (or better) progress for next Sunday…. I ask for you to lift me up in prayer to Yahweh and I’ll get off my fannie and put my works with my faith and tip the scale in the favor of progress! ! I hope that everyone is encouraged that you can always begin again…. keep smiling…keep believing….
i will encourage any member of buddyslim if if you are a Believer, that you study Beth Moore’s ‘Living Beyond Yourself’ workbook; it is about each component of the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22): love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. i studied it some years ago with a women’s ministry group at my former church and i’m taking it out again to focus on ’self-control specifically, with regards to food. i started today.
if at first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, etc, etc, etc…. I don’t succeed, try try (& try) again; Isaiah 58:12, encourages me to be a ‘Repairer of the Breach’ that has been created over past years of needing to exercise wisdom and self-control about food
In Him Always, deborrah
